The Adler Planetarium
1300 South Lake Shore Drive
Chicago IL 60605

Pre-Registration: $50 per person
On-site Registration: $60 per person

The SFM Networking Breakfast has become a very special tradition that gathers SFM members and other onsite foodservice professionals for a unique networking breakfast during the NRA Show.

For the first time, the Networking Breakfast is being held at a member company’s location, The Adler Planetarium. During the program, Past President, Bob Whitcomb will be recognized for his Silver Plate Award. The IFMA Silver Plate Awards recognize individuals for their excellence in the foodservice industry. Congratulations Bob! We will also recognize SFM founding member, Art Ritt as the 2009 SFM Hennessy Traveler.

Following these acknowledgements, two programs have been developed to benefit you both professionally and personally. The first program will identify on-site industry trends, while the second program will focus on personal leadership development.

Product Evaluations will present the issues and trends effecting the foodservice operator. Gleaned from Product Evaluations PENPals™ , a panel of select foodservice operators, this data provides insights into:

  • Customer requests and operator responses to these requests
  • Technology in the operation
  • Business concerns
  • Menu Trends
  • Green Trends

Immediately following, there will be a presentation on the Women’s Foodservice Forum’s 11 Core Competencies for Leadership, presented by Debi Benedetti and Barbara Kane. This session, supported by the SFM Women’s Council, brings together foodservice executives in the on-site dining industry to provide information on the type of leadership skills needed to succeed at the executive level. Self evaluation forms will help each attendee understand their individual developmental areas.

As a result of participation in this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify the 11 Core Competencies for Executive Development
  • Understand the derailers, identified by WFF, which all executives face on the way to the c-suite.
  • Understand specific development needs based on Core Competency Model Self Assessment
  • Learn how to develop the skills needed for career success

Have you mastered all the key competencies?
